Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response towards DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends.
